Welcome to your ‘Land of the Czars’ tour! Your Lawson representative greets you at the hotel, after you comfortably check in on your own. (Check in after 1400 hrs). This afternoon assemble in the lobby at 1600 hrs. Meet your Tour Manager and fellow guests and information on the next day’s program.

This evening, enjoy a boat ride along the canals of St. Petersburg from where you can view the city’s grand neoclassical architecture. Dinner Included

In St. Petersburg On Day 2

  • Guided Orientation Tour of St. Petersburg

Today, drive to St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the main church of the Russian empire.The cathedral was under construction for 40 years with eleborate decoration.Later in the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the cultural capital of Russia.View the dreamy and picturesque River Neva; see the Nevsky Prospect lined with the marble palaces of Russian Royalty.

Soak in the rich history of St. Petersburg , in The Church of the Spilled Blood, the Admiralty, St Isaacs Cathedral, the Winter Palace, Menshikov Palace, Alexander Nevsky Monastery, Russian Museum, d the Peter and Paul Fortress all of which emphasis the city’s rich architectural heritage and lineage. In St. Petersburg On Day 3

Today, drive down to Peterhof, an erstwhile residence of the Czars of yore Visit the Grand Palace and be amazed with its fascinating & elaborate interiors.

This worldfamous Palace, Fountain and Park ensemble of Peterhof shines forth as a glittering landmark of Russia’s aesthetic culture in the 18th and 19th centuries. It’s wonderful parks, 176 fountains of various forms, majestic palaces, numerous gilded statues of ancient gods and heroes paintings and works of art and culture make Peterhof a veritable gem of art, often called the ‘Capital of Fountains,’ unique in the world. In the afternoon, visit the celebrated Hermitage Museum, one of the most important museums in the world. It houses a fabulous collection of nearly three million works of applied art, archaeological finds, coins, graphic art and paintings in six different buildings. Breakfast & Dinner Included

In Onto Moscow On Day 4

This morning , travel to the lovely city of Pushkin – formerly Tsarskoe Selo, the Tsar’s Village. Take a tour of Catherine’s Palace, a beautiful baroque-style building that was built by Empress Elizabeth and named for her mother, Catherine the First.

Like many other royal residences the palace sustained heavy damage during World War II, although most of it has been restored to its former glory. In the afternoon, proceed to the station for your high-speed train to Moscow. This sleek “Peregrine Falcon”, when it begins its achives speed of 330 kilometers per hour (205 mph). On arrival, transfer to the hotel through the busy city of Moscow. Breakfast & Dinner Included

In Onto Moscow On Day 5

This morning , proceed on a guided orientation tour of Moscow, which includes the iconic Red Square and the stunning St. Basil’s Cathedral with its colourful onion-shaped domes. Later, depart for the Kremlin, the ‘walled fortress’ of Russia that holds much of its history, politics and religion.

The walls, originally of white stone, were rebuilt in the late 15th century, in their distinctive red brick. Today, the Kremlin houses four cathedrals, three palaces and two museums and is the official residence of the Russian President. It holds many treasures of the former Czars. What was once the Kremlin’s Armoury Chamber, has been made into a museum of sorts. Next, take a metro tour. The stations of Moscow’s subway system are often called ‘the peoples palaces’ for the elegant Soviet-era design and the lavish and profuse use of marble, mosaics, sculptures and chandeliers. Later, stroll down Arbat Street, now an extensive and enthralling pedestrian walkway, filled with interesting shops and restaurants. In the evening , enjoy the world famous Russian Circus.Breakfast & Dinner Included
